Project Background:
The Shuangjiang Reservoir Dam is located in Damu Township, Fuling District, Chongqing. It is a medium-sized water conservancy project included in the key water conservancy planning of both the nation and Chongqing Municipality. The project complex consists of a reinforced concrete face rockfill dam, spillway, water intake tower, water diversion works, and water conveyance system. The maximum dam height is 78.4 meters, and the total storage capacity is 10.69 million cubic meters . However, during the initial impoundment period, sudden deformation occurred in the slope adjacent to the water intake tower, accompanied by cracks and water seepage at the base of the tower . Through this scientific and precise reinforcement, the Shuangjiang Reservoir will fully realize its designed benefits, providing stable and reliable water resource support for over 20,000 town residents, more than 40,000 rural residents, and 40,000 mu of farmland in Fuling District, contributing to the high-quality development of the southeastern Chongqing region .
