Bengbu Railway Station
-
Project Location:
Bengbu, Anhui
-
Project Background:
Bengbu Railway Station, as a key transportation hub at the intersection of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and the Shui-Beng Railway, has its approach footbridge originally built during the station renovation in 2010. It serves as the core passage connecting the station building with three waiting rooms and all platforms, undertaking the important functions of daily passenger flow and cross-platform transfers. With increasing service years and continuously rising passenger load, the footbridge has developed issues such as concrete surface spalling, local cracking, reinforcement corrosion, and aging of the deck paving. The transverse frame beams of this footbridge no longer meet load-bearing capacity requirements. To ensure traffic safety and efficient hub operations, systematic upgrades have been implemented on the existing structure.
