Xuzhou Yunlong Lake Aquarium Regional Upgrading and Renovation Project is situated within Yunlong Lake Scenic Area, Quanshan District, Xuzhou City. Invested and constructed by Xuzhou Yunlong Lake Scenic Area Tourism Management & Development Co., Ltd., the project boasts a total investment of approximately 100 million yuan. Construction commenced in June 2024, and the venue officially opened to the public on August 16, 2025.

Adopting the EPC general contracting model, the project was awarded to Changshu Ancient Architecture & Landscape Co., Ltd. The total renovation area covers around 22,000 square meters with a construction period of 225 calendar days. While retaining the original building facade and fish exhibition functions, the project has been fully upgraded into an integrated cultural tourism landmark empowered by digital technology and enhanced immersive scenes. It abandons the single display mode of traditional aquariums and innovatively incorporates three major IP systems: biological-themed exhibitions, popular science research study and immersive experience.

The renovation scope includes structural reinforcement of the building, facade restoration, upgrading of ticketing and monitoring systems, as well as newly added featured consumption spaces such as a 360° immersive dome theater and a jellyfish-themed restaurant. Upon completion, the project has become the first new ecological tourism landmark in the Huaihai Economic Zone integrating popular science education, parent-child entertainment and nighttime economy, greatly elevating the cultural tourism competitiveness of Yunlong Lake Scenic Area.
