Project Background:
The Changshu Power Plant Coal Wharf Project of Suzhou Port is located on the right bank of the Xuliujing River section in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, approximately 0.5 km from the Xuliujing River estuary. By water, it is about 30 km from Nantong Port and about 70 km from Wusongkou. The wharf berth is 272.24 meters long and 27.6 meters wide, featuring a high-piled beam-slab structure. The original scale and functions of the wharf remain unchanged, while the structure of the 35,000-ton berth is being reinforced and upgraded to accommodate fully loaded berthing of 50,000-ton bulk carriers. Based on an analysis of the existing structural system of the Changshu Wharf, combined with natural conditions including water levels, currents, and geological factors, the design team has formulated a scientific and reasonable reinforcement plan. In the wharf reinforcement and renovation, carbon fiber sheet reinforcement is adopted for certain parts to enhance load-bearing capacity.
