Inner Mongolia Yihua Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. carries out the upgrading and renovation project of 30,000 tons per year pentaerythritol and supporting facilities in Wuda High-tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total investment of 520 million yuan and trial production scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
The project adopts self-developed membrane separation technology to replace the traditional recrystallization process, cutting energy consumption by more than 30%. Meanwhile, a 100,000 tons per year iron-molybdenum formaldehyde unit is constructed to substitute the highly polluting silver-based process, which drastically reduces methanol residue and nitrogen oxide emissions and improves intrinsic safety.
Pentaerythritol (purity ≥99%) is a vital chemical raw material widely applied in high-end coatings, special explosives (PETN), lubricants (PETS), pharmaceutical intermediates and adhesives. Its by-products dipentaerythritol and sodium formate also achieve high-value comprehensive utilization.
