Project Background:
Yangpu Riverside Innovation & Intelligence Center is situated in Block 85, Daqiao Subdistrict, Yangpu District, Shanghai. Formerly the west plant site of Shanghai Power Station Auxiliary Machinery Plant, it was the birthplace of China’s first 6,000 kW thermal power unit boiler and an important heritage of Shanghai’s modern industrial civilization.
In June 2022, Agora, Shanghai Yangpu Riverside Investment & Development Co., Ltd. and Starry Sky China jointly won the land parcel. The project boasts a total construction area of approximately 169,835 square meters. Construction officially commenced on January 28, 2023, with completion scheduled before March 31, 2026.
Adhering to the urban renewal philosophy of "Restoring original features, reshaping functions and redefining value", the project preserves the original 17,000 square meters long-span industrial plant structure. Through structural reinforcement and spatial reconstruction, it will build an online new economic ecological park integrating sci-tech innovation headquarters, cultural exhibition halls, conference centers and public vitality plazas.
The project will mainly introduce corporate headquarters engaged in digital economy and cultural creativity. It is required to generate tax revenue of no less than 1 billion yuan within five years and host no fewer than three municipal-level or above cultural events each year. -
