The structural reinforcement project for Cainiao Logistics facilities in the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone serves as a critical supporting initiative for the 2023–2025 Phase II photovoltaic (PV) construction project. It aims to provide the necessary structural support for the warehouse rooftops of Cainiao’s Zhengzhou Phase III and IV campuses, ensuring the safe installation and operation of distributed PV systems. The project focuses on reinforcing the load-bearing capacity of color-steel tile roofs on buildings 9, 12, 15, 17, and 18. Through professional structural assessment and reinforcement design, the roof load-bearing capacity is enhanced to meet the requirements for PV module installation; the installed capacity for individual buildings ranges from 4.33 to 4.63 MWp, with the total scope covering multiple core warehouse facilities across the campus. The project tender was led by the Smart Energy Engineering Division and awarded to Henan Guangzhifu Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., with a contract value of approximately RMB 2.37 million. Construction is concentrated in the second half of 2024, representing a classic model of synergistic implementation combining PV installation with structural reinforcement. This project marks a significant infrastructure step in Cainiao Network’s drive toward a green, low-carbon transition in the Zhengzhou Airport Zone. It aligns closely with the region's integrated development strategy—combining the airport, industry, city, and industrial parks—and supports national "Dual Carbon" goals. By facilitating an annual supply of over 38 million kWh of green electricity, the project enhances the energy self-sufficiency and operational resilience of the warehouse facilities, offering a replicable engineering pathway for PV retrofitting in logistics parks nationwide.
