Nanjing Presidential Palace

  • Project Location:

    Jiangsu

  • Project Background:

The Nanjing Presidential Palace, located at No. 292 Changjiang Road, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is one of the largest and best-preserved architectural complexes in modern Chinese history and a core component of the nationally designated key cultural relic protection unit—the "Provisional Presidential Palace of Sun Yat-sen and the Architectural Remains of the Nanjing National Government." In recent years, due to the aging of the buildings and the increasing number of surrounding high-rise and underground structures, issues such as wall cracking and foundation settlement have emerged, urgently requiring repairs. To thoroughly implement the new-era cultural relic work policy of "protection first, strengthened management, value exploration, effective utilization, and bringing cultural relics to life," and to comply with the National Cultural Heritage Administration's relevant requirements for preventive protection and structural safety enhancement of important modern historical sites, the management authority of the Nanjing Presidential Palace, while strictly adhering to the *Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics* and the *Principles for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage Sites in China*, is systematically advancing scientific testing, risk assessment, and precision reinforcement of the cultural relic buildings.
