Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant

Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant is the world's first demonstration project for China's Hualong One (HPR1000) nuclear reactor technology. It is located in a coastal environment of high humidity and high salt spray in southeast China. As the units undergo long-term operation, refueling outages, and system retrofits, some concrete structures—including equipment foundations, maintenance platforms, pipe supports, and gate wells—have experienced issues such as embedded component failure, insufficient structural load-bearing capacity, and the need for new equipment anchorage. To strictly comply with nuclear safety regulations and ensure structural durability and seismic performance, anchoring reinforcement (rebar planting) has been implemented during outage windows using nuclear-grade materials and construction techniques, ensuring that the structures are safe and reliable and meet the long-term stable operation requirements of the plant.
