Project Background:
Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant is located in Haiyan, Zhejiang. It is the first nuclear power base in China to be independently designed and constructed, and is known as the "Glory of the Nation." The plant is situated on the coast of Hangzhou Bay and has long been exposed to a marine environment with high salt spray, high humidity, and corrosion. Over its many years of operation, the units have undergone numerous refueling outages and technical upgrades. To meet the requirements of operating license extension (OLE), seismic retrofitting, equipment anchoring, pipe support modifications, and structural durability enhancement, anchoring reinforcement (rebar planting) has been implemented on concrete structures such as the reactor building, auxiliary buildings, circulating water structures, and equipment foundations. The project strictly complies with nuclear safety standards and regulations for rebar planting in nuclear facilities, utilizing nuclear-grade specialized materials and precise construction control. The structural anchoring and reinforcement work is completed during outage windows, ensuring the long-term safe, stable, and compliant operation of the plant.
