Project Background:
Daqing Oilfield No. 3 Oil Production Plant 31.25 MW Wind Turbine Tower Project
The project is actually the Daqing Oilfield South Five 110 kV Substation Distributed Wind Power Project, led by Daqing Oilfield No. 2 Oil Production Plant, not No. 3 Plant. It is China National Petroleum Corporation's first steel-concrete hybrid tower wind power project. The total installed capacity is 31.25 MW, with 5 wind turbines each rated at 6.25 MW. The rotor diameter is 204 meters, and the hub height is 160 meters. The tower uses a steel-concrete hybrid structure (steel tower section + 45 precast concrete segments), achieving three technological breakthroughs for CNPC: largest single-unit capacity, tallest tower, and longest blade diameter .
Construction began in August 2024 and achieved full-capacity grid connection on December 29, 2025, with a construction period of about 17 months, achieving "zero safety incidents and zero quality defects" throughout the process . The estimated annual power generation is 90 million kWh, equivalent to saving 27,000 tons of standard coal and reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 72,000 tons per year . Leveraging low-wind-speed resources around the oilfield substation, the project innovatively adopts a "distributed + self-consumption" model, providing a replicable template for the green transformation of oil and gas fields . -
