Project Background:
Shanghai Dahua Hucheng Center is located at No. 518 Dahua Road, Baoshan District. Formerly a CR Vanguard supermarket, it was renovated and grandly opened by Dahua Group on December 27, 2024. Covering a total construction area of about 55,000 square meters with three floors above ground, it serves as a new landmark of community-oriented cultural consumption purely for commercial operation.
Centered on the design concept of "Natural Growth", the project is designed by J&A Group. It reconstructs the space following three narrative threads: "Taking Root", "Spreading" and "Forming a Forest". A three-story-high hollow "Forest Atrium" is created, with tree-shaped columns running through the ceiling to build an immersive natural atmosphere. Complemented by high-transparency glass curtain walls and colorful aluminum panel domes, it forms distinctive visual highlights. -
