Project Background:
Shijiazhuang Xiangyun International Project is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of South Zhonghua Street and South Second Ring Road, Qiaoxi District. It is a mega mixed-use complex initiated by Hebei Lianbang Weiye Real Estate Development Group in 2009, with a planned total land area of about 1,800 mu and a construction area of 2.37 million square meters, consisting of residential quarters and the "Taste of China" themed cultural tourism commercial block.
Construction was suspended in 2014 due to the developer’s broken capital chain, making it the largest unfinished real estate project in Shijiazhuang involving nearly 5,000 creditors. Seven individuals including the former chairman were convicted of crimes such as illegal fund-raising.
In 2021, the project was included in Shijiazhuang’s key renovation list for unfinished buildings, placed under trusteeship by Shijiazhuang Urban Development & Investment Group and launched bankruptcy reorganization. In 2024, Shijiazhuang Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. won the tender for follow-up construction. The project has fully resumed construction with progress updated as of January 2026, where main structure construction and decoration works are carried out simultaneously. The overall completion is scheduled before December 31, 2026.
Positioned as a "commercial and living supporting functional zone" within the high-speed railway area, the project serves as a benchmark urban renewal and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) integrated project in Shijiazhuang. -
