The Public Health Service Center Project of Yuhuatai District, Nanjing is located on the north side of the intersection of North Andemen Street and West Yuhua Road, Yuhuatai District. The site was originally occupied by the unfinished Ruier Building, whose construction started in 2004 but halted in 2006 due to unauthorized expansion and remained vacant for nearly 20 years.

In 2022, the land plot was rezoned for medical and health use. Nanjing Yuhua Construction & Development Co., Ltd. undertook the reconstruction on its behalf with a total investment of about 420 million RMB and a total construction area of 32,274.49 square meters. The building has 22 floors above ground and 1 underground floor, with a building height of approximately 99.64 meters.

Full construction resumed in March 2024, scheduled for completion in September 2026 and handover in December the same year. It is a core livelihood project of Yuhuatai District in 2025. After renovation, the building integrates five major institutions: the District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Maternal and Child Health Care Institute, Health Supervision Institute, Health Emergency Command Center and Health Information Center, forming a new integrated medical and preventive public health system.

Floors 1 to 5 are dedicated to maternal and child health services, equipped with separate entrances, children’s activity areas and dedicated elevators to optimize medical experience. Floors above the 6th floor house laboratories and technical operation zones. A dual-streamline design is adopted with ventilation interlayers and integrated pipeline floors to deliver convenient public services and efficient internal operation.

Clad with metal aluminum panels, the facade combines modern aesthetics and functional durability. The project is equipped with intelligent systems and green building technologies. A special-purpose bond of 140 million RMB has been issued for the project, which is listed as one of the first pilot projects of the integrated medical and health service system in Nanjing.
