Project Background:
The CCTV Headquarters features a complex irregular structure with super-high-rise layout, large cantilevers and large inclined angles. Its unique architectural shape brings complicated structural stress conditions and prominent local stress concentration. Located in a high-seismic-intensity zone in Beijing, the building imposes extremely strict requirements on structural safety, seismic performance, wind-resistant comfort and long-term durability. To meet the 100-year design service life, eliminate structural safety hazards generated during construction and long-term operation, improve the overall bearing capacity, seismic resilience and wind stability of the structure, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the building, a structural reinforcement and performance upgrading project was carried out.
