    The Chengan–Chongqing Expressway (namely the Sichuan section of G5013 Yurong Expressway) is one of the expressways with the shortest distance and highest technical standards connecting Chengdu and Chongqing, with a total length of approximately 174 kilometers. In recent years, with the accelerated development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the Chenganyu Expressway, as a core transportation corridor between Sichuan and Chongqing, has experienced continuously rising daily traffic volumes and a significant increase in the proportion of heavy freight vehicles and large passenger buses. Under the combined effects of high-load operation and complex geological and climatic conditions (such as hilly soft soil foundations, heat, and heavy rainfall), some bridges along the route have developed issues including concrete cracking, reinforcement corrosion, bearing failure, and prestress loss. To effectively ensure the safety and smooth operation of this main national expressway corridor, enhance the infrastructure resilience of the Sichuan section of the Chenganyu Expressway, and support high-quality regional economic and social development, it is urgent to conduct systematic testing and assessment, as well as targeted reinforcement and maintenance, for key structures with prominent deterioration, insufficient load-bearing capacity, or degraded durability.
