The Xinyi River Bridge on the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway

The Xinyi River Bridge on the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway is located in Shuyang County, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province. It is a critical node project where the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway (G2) crosses the Xinyi River, and serves as a vital transportation corridor for north-south traffic in Northern Jiangsu. To ensure the full-lifecycle safety, smooth operation, and resilience of this major national transportation artery, to implement the Ministry of Transport's requirements on "strengthening safety risk prevention and preventive maintenance of long-span bridges," and to support the overall operational upgrade following the "four-to-eight lane" expansion of the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway from Xinyi to Jiangdu section, it is urgent to conduct systematic testing and assessment of the existing structure of the Xinyi River Bridge and implement targeted maintenance and reinforcement measures.
