Fengman Hydropower Station Comprehensive Rehabilitation (Reconstruction) Project

Fengman Hydropower Station is located on the Songhua River in Jilin City, Jilin Province, China. Construction began in 1937, making it one of the earliest large-scale hydropower stations in Asia and earning it the reputation of the "Mother of China's Hydropower." The original dam was a concrete gravity dam, 1,080 meters long with a maximum height of 91.7 meters. After nearly 80 years of operation, it played a vital role in flood control, power generation, irrigation, and ecological water supply. However, due to multiple factors including historical construction constraints, material aging, frequent freeze-thaw cycles (severe winters in Jilin), ongoing alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR) development, and upgraded seismic standards, the structural safety risks of the old dam have become increasingly prominent. Based on project requirements, regional cooperation practices, and Horse's proven applications in high-cold hydropower projects, Horse has been selected as the supplier of reinforcement materials.
