Project Background:
The buildings on the hospital campus were constructed over a wide range of years, and some structures exhibit issues such as concrete carbonation, reinforcement corrosion, component cracking, and seismic performance and load-bearing capacity that no longer meet current codes for medical buildings. To ensure uninterrupted outpatient services and continuous diagnosis and treatment at this tertiary Grade A hospital, and to enhance the structural safety, seismic resilience, and load-carrying capacity of wards, medical technology, and office buildings—while also meeting the requirements for heavy medical equipment loads, infection control, and fire protection upgrades—structural reinforcement and comprehensive renovation have been implemented.
