Shanghai Port Luojing Port Area Bulk Cargo Terminal was completed and put into operation in 1997. It once served as a core operation hub for bulk cargo such as coal and ore at Shanghai Port, undertaking the function of ensuring regional energy and raw material transportation. The terminal has been in service for over 25 years. Due to the combined effects of long-term heavy-load operations, hydrological environment erosion, and structural aging, it has developed issues including pile foundation damage, component cracking, surface layer deterioration, and reduced berthing and load-bearing capacity, resulting in prominent structural safety and operational risks.
