Project Background:
Green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. In the field of new energy, wind energy, as a clean and renewable energy source, is gradually becoming an important part of the global energy structure. To improve wind energy utilization and reduce construction costs, China is actively promoting wind-storage integrated projects.
The Zhongnan Electric Power Tianmen Jiangchang 99 MW Wind-Storage Integrated Project is the first project adopted by the Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of the China Power Engineering Consulting Group using an investment-construction-operation integrated model. The total installed capacity is 99 MW, with 24 wind turbines of 4,000 kW and 1 turbine of 3,000 kW to be installed in Jiangchang Town, Zhanggang Town, and Jianghu Farm. The project has been designated as one of the benchmark projects of the New Energy Engineering Company in 2023, underscoring its importance.
This project is the first wind power project designed by the institute to adopt a hybrid tower structure. The total tower height is 160 meters, with the hybrid tower section at 130 meters and the steel tower section at 30 meters. Compared to full steel towers, the hybrid tower structure offers stronger stability and higher power generation efficiency, representing the future trend for wind power projects in plain areas. -
