Project Background:
Located on bustling Nanjing East Road in the middle section of Shanghai Bund, the Peace Hotel was first built in 1929. As one of the most landmark buildings along the Bund, it was once hailed as "the No.1 Building in the Far East" with a tower height of 77 meters. Decades of service caused severe aging and damage to the original structure of the old Peace Hotel, impairing its normal operation. The hotel suspended business in 2007 for protective renovation and structural reinforcement. Adhering to the principle of restoring the original historical appearance, targeted reinforcement solutions were formulated based on the structural damage conditions and reinforcement positions of the old building to improve its service performance.
