Project Background:
The Hengbuhe Bridge is located on the S340 Laolong Road in Zongyang County. Due to its long construction history, years of use, and erosion by river water, the bridge has developed various degrees of deterioration and was rated as a Class V bridge by professional inspection agencies. The hazardous bridge renovation project for the Hengbuhe Bridge commenced on July 26, 2022. The project involved demolishing the old superstructure and deck system, replacing the superstructure with multi-ribbed simply supported T-beams, reinforcing the piers and foundations, replacing ancillary facilities, and applying durability protection to the substructure. On December 1 of the same year, after more than four months of intensive work, the renovation project was completed and opened to traffic one month ahead of schedule.
After renovation, the bridge has a total length of 85 meters, with a deck width of 15.6 meters and a clear width of 12 meters, effectively improving the traffic capacity of the S340 Laolong Road, enhancing the regional road transport network, and creating a better transportation environment for local residents. -
