Background of Branch Establishment
Since the founding of New China, especially since the 18th CPC National Congress, China Civil Engineering Society has focused on engineering construction, boosted research, academic exchanges, talent training and international cooperation, greatly advancing China’s construction technology.
On July 10, 2023, the society approved setting up its Advanced Engineering Materials Branch supported by University of Science and Technology Beijing. CAE Academician Yue Qingrui from USTB headed the preparatory team for its founding.
The branch integrates resources for advanced engineering materials R&D and application, integrates innovation and industrial chains of materials and civil engineering, promotes research on advanced materials, material-structure integration and structure-function integration, and solves key bottlenecks limiting material development and popularization.
